Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Information entered in a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query under its own practices. This site does not create a court-record database from those query terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
A message sent to the site may be retained to respond or maintain a communication record. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
A page visit can produce routine technical information such as:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files a browser can store to support analytics and site operation. Aggregate reports can show which reference pages are used and where technical issues occur. Browser controls can block cookies, though some site features may respond differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of Lewis County dockets or personal case records. It publishes general routing information for Missouri Case.net, the Lewis County Circuit Clerk, and other official court channels. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy notices, retention periods, and sharing practices govern the information submitted to their tools. Review those notices before entering a query, because this site does not direct those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may send a visitor to a clerk page, Missouri court portal, statewide case-search system, or an outside service. Once a visitor leaves this resource, the destination's privacy notice applies to that visit.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect information received by the site. Internet transmission and storage always carry risk, so complete security cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 18. A reported child-data concern will be reviewed and addressed.
Your Data Rights
Missouri's Sunshine Law, Chapter 610, governs access to qualifying public-government records. Court-file access also depends on Missouri court operating rules and confidentiality statutes. Those authorities do not change the visitor-data rights described here. At a minimum, you can:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
